We had a little bit of excitement at work today, adding some colour to our otherwise drab and meaningless existence. We were all working away like beavers on valium when an alarm started going woop! woop! This provided a welcome break and then a voice cut in shouting "Emergency! Emergency! sounding for all the world like an insane dalek.

Fortunately we had designated fire wardens marshalling everyone around.

An al fresco cocktail party was a bit of a dull affair as no one had thought to organise the drinks and canapes.

Eventually the party broke up and everyone went back. Could have been a lot more exciting that it actually was.
